Nothing leaves your phone.

A painting made in the app, which stays on the phone it was painted on

Last updated: 27 September 2026

Enogu does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. Everything the app makes is stored only on your device.

This isn't a promise about how I'll behave. I built the app with no account, no server to talk to and no networking of its own, so there's nothing for it to send anything to.

What I collect

Nothing. There's no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. I don't know who you are and can't see how you use the app.

Your paintings

Paintings keep themselves inside the app's own storage on your device. They're not uploaded or backed up to me or anyone else. They are removed when you delete them in the app, or when you delete the app.

Saving and sharing an image

When you save a painting as an image, the app hands it to the iPhone's share sheet, and you choose where it goes: your photo library, a message, a file. If you save it to Photos, iOS asks your permission first. The app never reads your existing photos.

A photo to trace over

If you pick a reference photo to trace over, you choose it with the iPhone's own photo picker, and only that photo is given to the app. It is used on the canvas and is not sent anywhere.

Motion

The app reads the phone's motion sensors while you paint, to move the light when you tilt the phone and to keep the paint landing just above your finger as you turn it. The readings are used as they arrive and are never recorded, stored or transmitted.

Children

The app collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this ever changes, I'll change this policy before the app changes, and the date at the top will say when.
